BARK K-9 Demonstration (Buckeye Area Regional K-9)

Sponsored by: P.A.P.L. and The Portage Co. Dog Pound

  This training group performs public demonstrations at various community events throughout the year. B.A.R.K.'s demos serve to showcase the abilities of Police K-9's in general and to show the public that these dogs can effectively perform their duties and yet be friendly and sociable when appropriate.

  In September 2008, the Streetsboro Police Department added their newest four-legged officer "Bo," a Belgian Malinois, to the force. Patrolman Aaron Coates, a member of the Streetsboro Police Department since February 2000, was selected as the department's K-9 handler.

  Bo is a Sworn Officer of the Streetsboro Police Department, and reached his first state of Ohio certifications in narcotics detection, tracking & article recovery in January 2009.

The City of Streetsboro is PROUD to have Officers Coates and Bo, as our K-9 team!
